€50,00
A craft gin built on juniper berries alongside local Akita botanicals — "kuromoji" (Lindera umbellata) as the signature herb, with white birch sap used for dilution. A refreshing sensation reminiscent of a walk through an Akita forest. Grand Prize (Akita Governor's Award) at the Akita Food Championship 2024.
Product Description
The name "No.65" refers to trial blend number 65 out of 80 patterns tested. Juniper berries provide the defining gin character, with "kuromoji" (a native Japanese herb) as the signature local botanical and white birch sap used for dilution. A refreshing, forest-like aromatic profile that holds up well even mixed with tonic. Note: this is a compound gin (no redistillation).
Ingredients: neutral spirit, white birch sap (Akita), juniper berries, kuromoji (Akita), coriander seed, orange peel, clove, cinnamon.
